Issue 1: Life care 101

Welcome to our Email Community

Whether you’re thinking six months down the road … or six years, it’s wise to start thinking about this question now.  In fact, the sooner you start planning, the greater your options for finding the fulfilling lifestyle you prefer. To summarize things, your options fall into a few distinct categories.

Stay in your home.
It’s perhaps the easiest choice for now. But what about the cost and hassles of on-going maintenance and upkeep? And what if you experience health problems?

Downsize to a condo.
While condo living takes care of exterior home maintenance issues, it can be rather isolating. Plus, there’s the question of what you will do if you have a health problem.

Move in with your children. This is a very personal family decision. However, most seniors today concur on one point: “We don’t want to be a burden to our children.”

Choose a senior living community.
This option lets you maintain your independence with the added benefit of services and amenities … often including health care. It all depends on the type of community you choose. For more information about Life Care at Collington, click here to contact us.
